Incense: Charcoal disks

These are wrapped in air tight foil packaging and are top quality packs of 10 discs / tablets.

Used for burning resins, powdered herbal blends and loose incense. The disc should be placed in a fireproof bowl before lighting (our cast iron cauldrons are ideal for this) or in a heat proof container such as an old plant pot filled with soil, or a container filled with salt would be suitable. Light the disc as you would light a barbecue coal with a match or lighter. You will see a faint flicker/spark pass across the coal as it ignites. Leave the coal for several minutes and it will slowly glow and then turn grey (just like a barbecue coal). Once it’s got a powdery grey covering you can now add a small amount of incense resin to release the fragrance.
